DocScrutinizerhah, only 2.5h?09:35
DocScrutinizerI fixed a simple linked list last week, to deliver buffer blocks least recently used instead of FIFO. Took like 30min, and I found out the module tests were missing/defect and I now got to implement them, which is a PITA on a system that allocates the involved resources on bootup09:37
DocScrutinizer(the module basically implements communication between CPU cores on a AMP system. So testing this is basically breaking one of the most basic parts of the whole system)09:39
DocScrutinizerProbably will take weeks to sort it out09:42
DocScrutinizererr, not least recently but most recently09:53
DocScrutinizerleast recently == FIFO09:54

merlin1991andre__: I've filled the cve bugs into our garge page, they should be worked on soon :)17:30
andre__a garage page?17:31
merlin1991https://garage.maemo.org/projects/cssu/17:31
ivgalvezis there any plan to allow applications depend on CSSU packages?17:31
ivgalvezI'm specially thinking in Qt 4.7.417:31
andre__ah, a parallel universe :P17:31
ivgalvezbut may apply to others17:31
merlin1991andre__: we want to use the todo system there to keep track of who is working on what17:32
andre__okay. I could imagine that bugs.maemo.org might also work for that, but as you like :)17:32
merlin1991ivgalvez: we've discussed this with X-Fade a few times, basicly we can't do anything about it untill he does implement a way17:33
ivgalvezthat could take a year or two :D17:34
ivgalvezI'm currently pushing for the Supertester initiative but no response from nemein administrators17:34
merlin1991andre__: the advantage of the garge page is that we can have a lot of dev chatter on those todo items and only put the proper messages onto the real tracker :)17:35
andre__ah :)17:36
merlin1991btw a few cve bugs are going to get closed with the coming update :)17:37
andre__nice17:39
andre__I just dropped what I could find, the list is probably far from complete :-(17:40
merlin1991I fear we'll never be on par with current security fixes for the maemo libraries since about nobody even looks into those things17:41
merlin1991thanks a lot for all the reports17:41
merlin1991now I have to find a repo for alarmd sources :D17:42
andre__merlin1991, was just going trhu some sources that I could access :)17:42
andre__merlin1991, repo? tarball is easier...17:43
merlin1991sure but if possible we try to copy history from the public repos17:43
andre__makes sense.17:43
merlin1991the only problem is that the maemo repos are all over several pages :/17:44
merlin1991gitorious, garage, funky other stuff, ...17:44
merlin1991it seems alarmd lives here: https://garage.maemo.org/projects/alarmd/17:45
merlin1991and the svn is closed, damn17:46
andre__merlin1991, https://garage.maemo.org/plugins/scmsvn/viewcvs.php/alarmd/?root=dsm17:46
andre__https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3635#c2017:46
povbotBug 3635: Publish sources of alarm framework17:46
merlin1991silly17:49
merlin1991but thanks :)17:49
merlin1991time to fire up git-svn17:50
merlin1991FFS17:51
merlin1991ofc the alarmd in the repo is not on par with the maemo5 release17:51
andre__grrrmpf.17:51
merlin1991it has 1.1.11, 1.1.13 and 1.1.8 tags, but we have 1.1.1617:51
andre__Nokia.17:51
andre__diff the repo against the tarball? but that's always noisy. :-/17:52
merlin1991lmao I went on google and did use maemo alarmd 1.1.16 as keywords17:53
merlin1991this chanlog showed up with todays entry xD17:53
andre__damn they are fast17:55
merlin1991hm lets see what a diff vs the svn sources does17:56
merlin1991but it's a 8 version jump, going to be noisy17:56
merlin1991http://paste.debian.net/159459/18:00
merlin1991perfect :/18:00
merlin1991andre__: about the xorg-video thingy, the question is still the same, why do we want to send the event unlike the code there does it?18:12
andre__merlin1991, no idea. all I know is what I wrote.18:12
merlin1991hm seems that the noise from 1.13 to 1.6 isn't that big18:29
merlin1991but the svn only had a single tag anyway :/18:29

DocScrutinizerhi gents - what about the stored procedures in eventsdb, to get proper call duration logging - sth for CSSU?21:34
merlin1991freemangordon: in case you look for the repo yourself, if you've got it pm me the url with appropriate branch / tag whatever21:34
merlin1991DocScrutinizer: technically yes, only nobody looked into it as of yet21:34
DocScrutinizerI 'looked into it' and am using  aka "testing" it since some weeks21:35
merlin1991afaik it's just a procedure that adds it right?21:36
DocScrutinizerI already 'looked into it' when original aithoer asked for help21:36
merlin1991it doesn't fix the ui?21:36
DocScrutinizerit's a SQL statement to add a stored procedure to db21:36
DocScrutinizerno UI impact21:36
merlin1991well at least the data is saved then21:37
DocScrutinizeryep21:37
* merlin1991 wonders about the best way to pull this off in a pacakge21:37
DocScrutinizerand you can watch proper data with extended call log app21:37
DocScrutinizerempty app pkg, like starhash21:37
DocScrutinizeronly an install script21:37
DocScrutinizerpreinst21:38
merlin1991I only wonder what happens if you delete the sql db, how is it created anyway?21:38
merlin1991and ofc the sql script needs a safeguard against adding the procedure twice21:39
merlin1991I remember the initial find being on tmo, got a link?21:39
DocScrutinizersee21:39
DocScrutinizer~jrtools21:39
infobotmethinks jrtools is http://wiki.maemo.org/User:Joerg_rw/tools21:39
amiconnIsn't it usually 'create or replace', so no matter how often you execute it, it will never be added twice?21:39
merlin1991amiconn: depends on dbms :D21:40
merlin1991mssql will just crash into your face :D21:40
amiconnSo much for sql "standard" then...21:40
DocScrutinizer#!/bin/sh21:40
DocScrutinizer# execute or source this to fix the missing end-times in eventslogger db21:40
DocScrutinizer# thanks hcm @ http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=690253&postcount=2021:40
DocScrutinizer## find original at http://maemo.cloud-7.de/maemo5/patches_n_tools/eventsdb_calllog_triggers.sh21:40
DocScrutinizermerlin1991: >>  DROP TRIGGER IF EXISTS call_duration_inbound;  <<21:42
DocScrutinizeryou can add aka run script whole day long21:43
*** dafox has quit IRC21:44
amiconnHmm, looks like only oracle and postgresql have "create or replace"21:46
*** dafox has joined #maemo-ssu21:46
DocScrutinizera nice niche case philosophic question: shall this patch go into "reset to factory defaults" scripts as well?21:46
DocScrutinizeramiconn: ^^^21:47
*** dafox is now known as Guest2958921:47
amiconnYeah, würgaround21:47
DocScrutinizer""DROP TRIGGER IF EXISTS call_duration_inbound; CREATE TRIGGER call_duration_inbound AFTER UPD...""  = create or replace21:48
DocScrutinizerI'd try "" CREATE TRIGGER  IF NOT EXISTS""21:49
*** Guest29589 is now known as dafox21:49
DocScrutinizerI made that up21:49
DocScrutinizersounds in line with what I feel might be MySQL syntax21:50
*** BCMM has joined #maemo-ssu21:51
amiconnhttp://www.sqlite.org/lang_createtrigger.html21:51
amiconnLooks like sqlite supports this syntax too21:51
DocScrutinizerLOL21:52
DocScrutinizerI'm sooooo damn good!21:52
merlin1991:D21:52
merlin1991I like the sqlite docs21:52
merlin1991the schematics they have for each command are WAY better than what you get from oracle / postgres / mssql / mysql21:52
amiconnIt's slightly different from 'create or replace' though. Probably doesn't matter in this case21:53
merlin1991if I need indepth info I read the text, but for just a quick what can it do, those pics are awesome :)21:53

DocScrutinizeranyway, the "drop if exists; create" has an absolute advantage: you can update the trigger when a new version arrives22:27
