siceloactually while N900 shows 3G, not a single byte can be sent. Only when it switches to 3.5G can data flow. problem being that you need to keep a very constant ping to remain on 3.5, as swsitching to it again seems very difficult (congestion)08:18

sicelomight mention that all android phones work fine, hence reporting to operator tends to get the reply that 'your phone is faulty' - i think it's just because android is more nois on the network08:44
