ds3yes, Nokia patched it. I am trying not to have to patch a debian setup from scratch00:28
* Sicelo still thinks debian/devuan is way better than maemo for that purpose ..00:30
Siceloyou just need to find a DE that's finger friendly ... yes i know linux & finger friendly don't exactly fit well in the same sentence, but there is E17 for example00:31
Sicelonot the best, but relatively useable00:31

Siceloto stick to the 'patching' keyword - yes nokia patched it ... but they patched it in 2008/900:33
Maxdamantus"patched"00:40
Maxdamantusit's basically not Debian. The package histories are mostly completely separate.00:40
Maxdamantus(they might've just copied sources from Debian packages)00:41

Maxdamantusbtw on the watchdog thing, in case that's a continuation of the discussion from the other day, I think my system currently boots successfully because I do an fsck on the filesystem (ext4) after starting the busybox watchdog program and before mounting.01:04
Maxdamantusiirc, if I just mount after starting a userspace watchdog program, it till resets because the mount generally takes too long doing the checks that e2fsck could do.01:05

Sicelothe issue with batch til download is the zoom levels .. i actually asked for help here about two weeks ago. i am not saying/suggesting modrana is bad .. it's actually good and i like it .. but for some use cases, it's quite difficult13:21
kerioKotCzarny: well i mean13:23
kerioi don't really know how can you look at the systemd situation and not start planning for a migration to some other unix for your servers13:23
keriounless you're a redhat shop13:23

bencohSicelo: you can always edit your map configuration file to allow downloading the last 2 zoom levels, but iirc it's an OSM directive not to batch download those13:46
bencohand only download/cache it when client explicitely needs it13:46
