* DocScrutinizer05 idly wonders in which universe fishbulb lives01:21
DocScrutinizer05definitely a universe I'm not fluent with the language and symbol system used, however familiar it may sound01:22
DocScrutinizer05"text forwarding shit", "copy of my sim card", honestly now?01:24
DocScrutinizer05to answer the second (first I can't decode): no, using a cloned SIM concurrently with the original in same network will most usually ban both and earn you a visit by some angry people01:25
brolin_empeyDocScrutinizer05: I guess fishbulb meant something to forward SMS messages.01:30
DocScrutinizer05I have no decent answer to this 'question'01:31
DocScrutinizer05would need precise definition of "some kind of text forwarding shit"01:31
DocScrutinizer05there are around half a dozen layers on which such "some kind of text forwarding shit" could happen01:32
DocScrutinizer05for TLA authorities, they will depend on none of them but simply get the SMS from provider01:33
DocScrutinizer05generally any "some kind of text forwarding shit" is a pretty low profile attack01:34
DocScrutinizer05possibly parents use this to control their children01:34
DocScrutinizer05no ready made app for this is known to exist for N90001:35
DocScrutinizer05it's however pretty easy to write such app using a bit of dbus-scripting01:35
DocScrutinizer05also discovery is extremely simple since provider will *charge* you for forwarded SMS01:37

xesi haven't found any tips about this: is there a way to trim the mA of current provided to the flash leds while using camera-ui2?11:09

xesin fact i was talking about a setting to increase the power of the flash while taking a photo. Standard camera-ui flash is pretty weak. Testing the leds with lanterne shows that also with safe current levels flash leds can produce brighter light pulses. So, i was asking which is the current gived to the leds while using camera-ui and how change it11:21
xes@ 215 mA the leds can produce really more light than camera-ui while shooting photo with flash. It's easy to try, you can open lanterne in strobe mode at level 12(215 mA) and camera-ui at the same time and try one an the other in a dark room. I can see that very often camera-ui fails to focus because flash light in insufficient11:31
*** eijk has joined #maemo11:32

Defiantmaybe the mA is factory programmed in the ADP?11:52
xeshttps://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/2153251/11:58
xes.max_flash_intensity = ADP1653_FLASH_INTENSITY_REG_TO_mA(19), /* Must be limited to 320 mA in RX-51 B3 and newer hardware */11:59
xes215 mA is level 1211:59

sicelotbh, i have had more nonsense with kde than gnome .. still asking myself why it's praised so much :-/22:43

siceloDocScrutinizer05: seen the basic 'user' icon/avatar for KDE5? lol22:45
DocScrutinizer05gnome gives you the windows UX, KDE is totally customizable22:46

DocScrutinizer05plus when gnome published they unbearable first buggy version, I was on KDE already for years22:47

siceloi never used KDE until KDE4 a few weeks ago .. tbh, i found it fine. now on KDE5 .. fine too. but i can't agree that KDE is the best thing since sliced bread. or maybe it's because i use terminal more than anything else .. and therefore don't use the 'good' parts of either DE22:53
CatButtsthe highlight of KDE up until v4 was ktuberling22:56

sicelothe most annoying problem i'm having with KDE5 (I did have it with 4 too, but not as bad as with 5) is that Wireless networks will suddenly not be connected to, due to "secrets were not provided" .. never had that with gnome22:57
