sunshavimerlin1991: I have installed ur compiled bluez packages. more up to date than the ones from the repos. Is there any known issue with it. Why they are not on the repos?02:57
*** azkay has quit IRC02:57
merlin1991well, bluez in maemo is rather unstable, luf was working on updates, but apart form him none has a concrete idea what works or not ...02:59

sunshavimerlin1991: thanks. I have compiled w3m for n900. but it needs manual intervention cos a problem with a  library. I don know if anyone else is interested on that package. It is a command line web browser03:08
sunshavibut sure I am not going to be able to upload it on the usual way03:08
merlin1991sunshavi: if your library is just a straight update with no sideeffect I'm happt so pushthat as a part of cssu03:09

x-systemDocScrutinizer05!!! I have working BM!! I instailled Enhanced BusyBox shell in now bm work wery well! Thank for you!)06:32
DocScrutinizer05tolya the messybox version looked fishy06:33
DocScrutinizer05actually I deprecate messing with messybox06:33
infobotmessy... err busybox is meant for lean scripting. Regarding all the missing options and immanent limitations (see su, passwd, nice, ps, diff as used by mc...) it's not really the interactive shell of choice. A lot of people hate busybox because a lot of system integrators don't understand the difference between busybox and a decent user interactive shell plus unix utils06:34
DocScrutinizer05rather get decent bash06:34
DocScrutinizer05and leave messybox at stock release06:34
DocScrutinizer05any little difference in messy busybox behavior has potential to mess with your system behavior06:35
DocScrutinizer05maybe you can use inspiration (or more) from:06:35
infobotmethinks jrtools is

DocScrutinizer0521.2011.38-1Tmaemo11 is maemo CSSU-Testing07:17
DocScrutinizer05anything thumb is strongly deprecated unless you know exactly what you're doing07:18
DocScrutinizer05you should read carefully, and understand,  before you use any thumb related stuff07:20
DocScrutinizer05basically thumb binaries only work on a thumb-enabled powerkernel, otherwise they will crash your system07:20

vectis3Hi all, when trying to ssh into or out of my N900, the process hangs after entering my password. Ctl+c has no effect so I have to close the window. After several  attempts (upto 10) I can eventually login. Any ideas?16:20
jogavectis3, haven't had that happen myself I think, but for convenience, assuming you use ssh from cli, it probably supports pressing a funny escape key sequence of Enter, ~ and . (period) in order to kill the connection16:23
*** eijk has quit IRC16:27
vectis3joga: Thanks for that tip, I just need to figure out why it hangs now.16:34
PaliDocScrutinizer05: flac is either compression algorithm, format and also container for flac16:38
kerioPali: yeah but can it also be used in matroska audio?16:41
Paliyou can include flac audio into other contairners too16:41
Palimkv/matroska should work16:41
Palibut I bet that windoze software are without flac decoder support, so not much very useful16:42
Paliyou can also include flac audio into ogg container16:42
Palithis is I think supported by ogg software and maybe also by flac command line too16:42
Paliyes, flac cmdline tool has --ogg switch, which generate ogg container with flac music16:43
Paliinstead flac container with flac16:43

KotCzarnyvectis3: as a quick test add your ip to /etc/hosts on the server20:01
KotCzarnyif it removes delay then that's it20:01
KotCzarnyanother issue might be some weird things going on in bash_rc or profile (test for that would be working: ssh -t user@ /bin/bash20:03
KotCzarnyand third one would be packet loss (i experience that when my device (allwinner based one) is under load and starts dropping packets then its hard to even login, though it succeeds sometimes20:06
KotCzarnyon unrelated note, oscp 0.9.7-59 has a lot of fixes and few new features (for example web browser/scraper/player, ie. point it to some apache index page and enjoy ;)20:09

Sicelovectis3: differs from router to router .. some have good implementations which don't break N900 ssh so much, and some are bad. on the 'bad' ones, sometimes adjusting beacon and other values helps. test out the different possibilities before disabling PSM completely on N90023:22
