eekkelundHeo :)21:46
juicemehiya!21:54
juicemefreemangordon pointed out that maemo-developers mailing list is not operative, which xes confirmed.22:01
juicemeI'll have to check the status of all maemo mailing lists; I know that memo-community works but that might well be the only one.22:02
eekkelundEvening juiceme! For what developers mailing lsit has been used?22:07
eekkelundalso I had time to read TMO backlog yesterday and noticed complain that talk.maemo.org doesn't automaticly redict to httpS://talk.maemo.org22:08
juicemetrue, it's possible to use both http and https.22:10
juicemei wonder if that should be fixed; are thee any valid reasons ever to use http?22:10
eekkelundI vote for redicting http to httpS. No reasons come to my mind, do you have any?22:12
juicemeno, you're right there22:12
*** jskarvad has quit IRC22:17
xesi think that some old tmo viewer was http only and we should check if there is any midgard integration (karma counters?) using only http. Probably no one so far looked at this so to avoid any incompatibility things are still using both http and https22:30
juicemexes, how many places does the change touch, can it be estimeted?22:45
xesjuiceme: the point is exactly about that question. maemo's server cross references usually are a mess and when something is broken you discover it after some time.. We have to dig a little bit to check what could fail22:55
xes..maybe chem|st has some memory of plugins or hooks with midgard22:56
juicemeso the potential problems are when user moves from one service to another, say, between TMO and Garage?22:57
juicemeI have noticed that boing logged on to one service does not carry on over to another, prompting me to enter username/password again22:58
xesno, i mean midgard integraton or scheduled scripts collecting info23:00
juicemehmm, okay but those run inside the domain, between the vm:s, right?23:00
xesyes.. with custom modules written years ago or crontabs with lynx -dump..23:02
xesso, maybe the move will be transparent or maybe not23:03
xes..i will make a check23:04
juicemeso if they are internal, then there's no effect outside and those could well run on http, or could they be using same interfaces that are also used by external users?23:04
juicemeworth checking though23:05
xesyes..23:07
sicelo\o23:12
