Ken-YoungI'm using underscores, because I also use expose_event, button_release_event, button_press_event, and more, and all those events get properly delivered, and they all use underscores, so I assumed focus_out_event used underscores too.15:09

Ken-YoungpH5, Thanks, that helped.   I was not enabling the signal on the outermost widget, and that seems to have been the problem (even though it isn't a problem for other signals).   I get the signal now - thanks again!15:19
